June 13, 2010 Samoa Beach Day Wow what a great turnout!!! We had a mix of Jeeps, Quads and a side by side. Our group consisted of current members, new members, potential members and guests. The weather cooperated and we were blessed with sunshine most of the day. Tommy did a great job of cooking and there was a wide variety of food for the potluck. After lunch we headed over to the Mini Rubicon to bend some metal. On our way over one of our guests broke a valve stem. Steve arrived and the groups help quickly repaired the valve stem with a new one. It was a great demonstration. Everyone worked over their portion of the obstacle and then we headed north in the dunes. As usual we brought out the straps and the winch to get though some of the sections. On our way back south one of our guests ran a little too close to the edge of a dune an got stuck on a side hill. Jon deployed his winch and Chris brought out the shovel after a couple of try's the Jeep was back in a safe position. We drove to the Mini Rubicon with Jon giving the logs a try. North to South was some work but South to North he completed with ease. It was a great day at the sand. Thanks for everyone's participation. Paul Click on thumbnails for larger pictures-
