Horse Mountain Snow Run

 

January 23-24,2010

 

Horse Mountain Campout/Day Run. We had Four Club members show up for the Snow Run: Paul, Chris, Steve and Maureen. There was about three and a half feet of fresh snow. Blazing trail was slow going...Chris and his girlfriend had to turn around due to lack of traction. Steve and Paul continued taking turns on breaking trail. Around three o'clock we made camp for the night. After the tents were setup we went for a short drive up to the repeaters and then back, going again just a little bit further. Early dinner and Bedtime was shortly after dark.. Sleep was harder to come by as the wind blew hard most of the night. We had maybe three inches of new snow at day break. We made breakfast and headed home. Great camp out and trail run!
